English Day

Our school recently celebrated English Day, a special day dedicated to learning English in a different and more dynamic way. This year, the theme was the films Inside Out and Inside Out 2, which helped students explore emotions while practising the language.

Students from P3 to Primary worked with Inside Out. Throughout the day, they carried out different activities related to emotions and how we understand and manage them. Through games, creative tasks and group work, they talked about feelings such as joy, sadness, anger and fear. They also created posters and mini-books, where they described emotions and situations in which we might feel them. These activities helped them learn new vocabulary and express their ideas in English in a fun and meaningful way.

Students in Secondary (ESO) focused on Inside Out 2. Their activities were designed to encourage creativity and communication in English. They created silhouettes of characters, designed posters, and made comics inspired by the film and its themes. Some groups also worked on dubbing scenes, which allowed them to practise pronunciation and intonation while bringing the characters to life. In addition, students participated in a Kahoot quiz, where they tested their knowledge about emotions and the films in an interactive and enjoyable way.

English Day is always a great opportunity for students to practise the language in a more relaxed and creative environment. It allows them to use English while working together, sharing ideas and learning through different types of activities.

Overall, it was a very positive experience for everyone involved. Students enjoyed the activities and had the chance to learn English while reflecting on something that is important for everyone: our emotions and how we understand them
